Not the King…
I was Huluing my face off on the laptop catching up on 24 and watching game 6 between the Magic & Cavs on the 42″ plasma when the game ended. After polishing off the last of the chocolate animal crackers I quickly realized that Lebron James made his way immediately off the court and into the locker room without even a quick handshake or man-hug. Now having played sports since I was a young gravy monger I know one thing, and that is when someone has outperformed you or your team you need to congratulate or shake their hand after..
I have always thought that Lebron was made and not born somewhere in Area 51 because of his ability to do things people his size are not supposed to do.. His actions the other night though have given me a different opinion, not on his physical abilities, but his character.. Now if you listen to him in the clip he says he is a winner, but last time I checked you didn’t win, and the Magic are the ones moving on to the finals.. A winner is someone who can give credit where credit is due, and not scamper off ignoring your opponent and the media after getting pummeled..
I like how the media likes to compare this guy to Jordan or even Magic, well Michael won 6 titles and Magic won 5, and if I’m not mistaken Lebron is at 0.. Even when the Celts/Lakers were at the peak of their rivalries, you still saw them face to face congratulating each other after their battles. Don’t get me wrong I realize that he is young and has plenty of years left, but until he can win even 1 championship then in my opinion he is just another extremely talented athlete who has always been told he is the king. SHAAAAAAAVVVVVVEEEEE!!!!!
